About the Programme
Women into Frontier Tech is a fast-track, placement-first accelerator that trains women as AI Deployment Consultants, places them into live SME projects, and connects them with corporate partners who provide mentoring, masterclasses and insight days into entry-level tech roles. It is delivered by Girls Talk Corporation and Enterprise4All, and funded by Innovate UK under the UK Government's Department for Business, Science, Innovation & Trade (DBSIT).
The programme will train 250 women as AI Deployment Consultants across 2 cohorts (London and North-West England) between October 2026 and March 2027, with a minimum of 50 participants placed into sustained employment within three months of completion.
Each 12-week cohort runs in three phases: 4 weeks of training and masterclasses; 4 weeks on a live SME project in teams of 4–5; and 4 weeks of post-completion career support, insight days and job placement. Mentoring, community support and pastoral care run throughout, underpinned by a network of corporate mentors and a wraparound alumni community.

Role Purpose
The Programme Manager owns delivery of the Women into Frontier Tech Accelerator end to end — running the live SME group project phase, onboarding participants, coordinating programme events, and owning the overall project plan and impact reporting. This role is the operational backbone of the programme, working closely with SME and corporate partners, participants and the wider Girls Talk and Enterprise4All team.
Key Responsibilities
SME Group Projects
- Own and manage the live SME group project phase of each cohort, overseeing teams of 4–5 AI Deployment Consultants delivering a 4-week placement with each SME partner.
- Track weekly milestones and ensure sign-off by SME partners at each stage, through to final deliverable and handover.
- Prepare project briefs for both participants and SME partners, ensuring scope, deliverables and expectations are clear ahead of matching.
- Organise and run the weekly SME matching sessions (reverse-pitch format), pairing consultant teams with SME projects based on candidate preference.
- Monitor and record attendance throughout the group project phase, following up on non-attendance.
Participant Onboarding
- Manage onboarding for all enrolled participants, ensuring goody bags and programme merchandise are ordered, packed and sent ahead of each cohort's start.
Programme Events
- Plan and deliver the cohort Christmas social in London and North-West of England
- Plan and deliver the graduation event in February, marking the end of the cohort.
- Organise Insight Days at employer venues in Manchester and London, liaising with anchor and corporate partners on hosting logistics for up to 50 attendees per session.

Project Planning
- Own and maintain the overarching programme project plan, tracking milestones, dependencies and delivery risk across the 12-week cohort structure.
- Report progress against the plan to leadership and funders.
Impact Reporting
- Write and own the programme's Impact Report, tracking and reporting against KPIs including women trained, the 60% minimum women participation target, 50+ sustained employment outcomes, ~45 SME partners, and ESG/social value data for corporate partners.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes or projects, ideally within a skills, training or employability setting.
- Experience coordinating live client or project delivery across multiple simultaneous workstreams.
- Strong project planning and organisational skills, comfortable owning and maintaining a detailed project plan.
- Experience planning and delivering in-person events with corporate or SME partners.
- Excellent written communication skills, able to produce clear briefs and impact reports for external stakeholders and funders.
- Confident liaising with SME and corporate partners and building relationships.
- Willingness and ability to travel to London and Manchester for programme delivery.
- Genuine commitment to gender equity and improving women's access to careers in technology.
Desirable
- Experience working on government-funded skills programmes or Innovate UK-funded projects.
- Experience writing impact or evaluation reports for funders.
- Experience with SME engagement, account management or corporate partnerships.
