This is an excellent opportunity to join the team on a fixed-term PAYE contract providing maternity cover. Starting immediately, the role is expected to last around 12 months and offers a hybrid working model based out of our Magor (NP26) office.
You’ll lead the successful delivery of projects that support Indigo Telecom Group’s strategic objectives, ensuring outstanding performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer outcomes.
The role is responsible for leading and developing a team of Project Managers, driving the delivery of projects safely, efficiently, and consistently to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. Working in line with Indigo Telecom Group’s Project Management Methodology, the post holder will ensure projects are delivered in the most effective and commercially beneficial manner for both internal and external customers.
By championing project delivery excellence, the role will strengthen customer relationships, maximise project profitability, secure incremental revenue opportunities, and identify new avenues for growth across the business.
Principle Accountabilities / Objectives
The role will ensure that performance targets (e.g.: cost, quality, time) are set and continue to be met and that the end customer remains satisfied with the services.
- Drive continuous improvement across the team and assigned projects ensuring the standard of delivery is industry leading.
- Act as single point of contact including escalation for projects/programmes assigned to the team ensuring cost effective solutions are delivered.
- Proactively identifying and developing account strategies for key opportunities and leading the cross-functional internal team in executing them successfully.
Main Responsibilities
Customer Satisfaction:
- Point of contact for assigned projects and as required provide support into Sales.
- Conducts regular review of performance measures with project team.
- Provides escalation point where necessary.
- Manage the development of strong relationships with external and internal Customers.
- Responsible for efficient and effective Project Handover to Operational Delivery.
- Owns service performance improvement for assigned Projects.
- Ensure continuous alignment of the services with the customer’s needs, i.e. changing work patterns, workloads, revised aims and objectives.
- Secure incremental revenue by delivering excellence across all projects and seeking out potential new opportunities.
Delivering On Our Commitments
- Responsible for delivery of all assigned projects to time, cost and quality.
- Responsible for ensuring all assigned projects are robustly planned (to the appropriate level for size and risk) and resources allocated accordingly.

Strategic Leadership
- Works with Head of Deployment to drive consistency of performance across project management organisation as a whole.
- Provides support and leadership for Direct Reports.
- Assists with the creation of innovative and flexible project delivery strategies with internal teams, and 3rd party suppliers/partners.
- Resolve conflicts and priority issues, delivering the best outcome for Indigo Telecom Group.
- Communicate to the team the short- and long-term programme goals and ensure that the delivery strategies are aligned to them.
Programme Governance
- Supports and enhances the order to delivery process for assigned projects.
- Undertakes regular service audits.
- Manage engagement in the project management team in working to the adapted Indigo Telecom Group Programme & Project Management Methodologies.
Active Management
- Ensure regular Project team meetings, ensuring that milestone & benefit tracking is in place.
- Manage a robust governance regime that actively manages risks and opportunities register.
- Ensure a suitable Audit (HSE & Quality) programme is established and actively managed for assigned projects.
Cost Containment
- Manage, control and report the financial expenditure of the assigned project budgets.
- Maximise efficiencies and minimise costs through effective systems and processes for project delivery.
- Seek cost efficiency and seeks synergies where possible from the application of best practice.
- Actively manage/oversee variations within projects and ensure customer billing is done appropriately and timely.
- Assists with the formulation of a cohesive supplier engagement and delivery strategy with Procurement.
Active Management
- Drives high performance levels within their team.
- Ensure that performance management and development are set using SMART Objectives at all levels within the Projects team, and that regular appraisals, team meetings, 1-2-1s, etc are being undertaken.
- Responsible for career management - including coaching and training needs.
- Contribute to Resource and Succession planning.
- Leave/Absence & HR Management of teams.
Compliance
- Promote an effective Safety, Health and Environment culture, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment within area of operation.
- Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of the Indigo Telecom Group Security Policy in order to protect individuals, information and Indigo Telecom Group /Customer assets.

Qualifications
- Extensive Project/Programme management background.
- Commercial awareness and experience of significant bid and business development initiatives.
- Ability to co-ordinate multiple services and needs from providers, client organisations customers and end-users.
- Ability to prioritise.
- A track record in ensuring project/service delivery, availability, capacity over time with ongoing value for money.
- Ability to adapt services to changing requirements within agreed parameters.
- Interface with customers, end-users and provider.
- Maintaining effective relationships.
- Education to a degree level an advantage.
- Advanced Project Management Qualification an advantage.
- PC literate, especially Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong leadership and project reporting skills.
- Strong financial governance.
- Development and implementation of multiple KPIs.
- Full Driving licence essential.
