Programme Manager

Band 8b | Fixed Term until 31 March 2027 (Secondment Considered)
Portland House | Worthing (50% On-Site)
£66,582 – £77,368 per annum (pro rata)
37.5 hours per week

The role

As a Programme Manager within the Trust's Transformation & Change team, you'll lead complex programmes from concept through to delivery, ensuring meaningful and sustainable improvements for patients, staff and services.

You'll:

  • Lead the planning, delivery and governance of major transformation programmes
  • Manage programme plans, milestones, risks and benefits realisation
  • Drive change management and support the adoption of new ways of working
  • Build strong relationships with senior clinical, operational and external partners
  • Use data and insight to inform decision-making and improve performance
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage programme resources, budgets and reporting

About the team

The Transformation & Change team supports strategic improvement programmes across Sussex Partnership, helping services innovate, modernise and deliver better outcomes for the communities we serve.

The team works across:

  • Organisation-wide transformation programmes
  • Service redesign and continuous improvement
  • Programme governance and assurance
  • Strategic planning and change management
  • Cross-organisational and system-wide collaboration

What we're looking for

We're seeking an experienced Programme Manager who has:

  • Significant experience leading complex transformation or change programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders
  • Experience delivering projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Knowledge of programme management methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP or Agile
  • Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills
  • A passion for innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
