As a Programme Manager, you will spearhead multiple community-based programmes under the ‘One Council’ initiative. Your role will be to understand community needs and support the ambitions of our Thriving Communities programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference!
In This Dynamic Role, You Will
- Lead and Inspire: Manage a talented team of Community Officers, guiding them to achieve our ambitious goals.
- Collaborate and Connect: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, to identify service gaps and opportunities.
- Plan and Perform: Develop and deliver effective programmes that align with Council priorities and respond swiftly to national initiatives, such as the Crisis and Resilience Fund and Homes for Ukraine Schemes.
- Evaluate and Enhance: Monitor programme progress, ensuring timely delivery and improved outcomes for our residents.
- Govern and Guide: Ensure robust governance and grant funding management, delivering high-quality services that provide value for money.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
- A degree or significant equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Accredited project management expertise, such as PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent methodologies.
- Extensive experience in managing complex projects within a public sector environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams and organisations.

Please note that there are two vacancies available, each with a different fixed-term contract end date:
- 31 March 2028
- 31 March 2029
The role is hybrid with 2 days a week required in the office at County Hall. These are set days (Monday and Wednesday).
