About the Role

Keighley College is seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and experienced Hair & Beauty Programme Manager to lead and develop our Level 1–3 Hair & Beauty Study Programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding curriculum professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and training and supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the curriculum area, ensuring that programmes are engaging, industry-relevant, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of learners, employers, and the wider community.

You will have responsibility for the effective leadership and management of programmes across Levels 1, 2, and 3, ensuring a coherent learner journey from entry-level study through to advanced qualifications, employment, apprenticeships, or further education.

  • Lead the improvement performance across all provision areas.
  • Lead quality assurance processes for delivery, assessment, and learner outcomes.
  • Plan and manage internal quality reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Coordinate standardisation meetings to ensure consistent teaching, assessment, and marking practices.
  • Lead the moderate process across provision.
  • Monitor consistency in learner feedback, progress tracking, and evidence standards.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong curriculum leadership with current or recent Hair & Beauty industry knowledge.

You will have:

  • A relevant professional qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification and/or substantial experience of teaching and learning within further education.
  • Experience of delivering and/or managing Level 1–3 vocational programmes.
  • Experience of leading, managing, or coordinating a curriculum team.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum quality, assessment, and quality assurance within Further Education.
  • Experience of using data and performance information to improve learner outcomes.
  • Knowledge of current Hair & Beauty industry practice and employment trends.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with employers and external partners.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and to raising aspirations and achievement for all learners.
