Programme Manager - Speciality Insurance
Rate: £850 - £950 p/d Outside IR35
Location: London - Hybrid - 6 month initial contract
We're partnering with a specialist insurer embarking on a significant transformation journey and are seeking an experienced Programme Manager or Transformation Lead to help shape and deliver it from the ground up.
This unique opportunity to join at the start of the transformation process. Reporting directly to the Head of Transformation, you'll play a key role in carving out and establishing a new transformation programme, helping define the roadmap, governance and priorities across several strategic modernisation initiatives.
Having grown through a number of mergers and acquisitions, the business is now focused on consolidating, simplifying and modernising its operating model, technology landscape and business processes. The programme is currently in discovery, meaning the projects themselves are still being defined. As a result, you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the programme rather than simply inherit an existing portfolio.
While the role supports the UK and International business, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders in the US headquarters, giving you exposure to a truly global transformation agenda.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
