You will be leading on a UK-based government programme with local project management tasks. Requiring frequent coordination with UK government entities, Main partner(s) and local suppliers, navigation of the change/approval processes, and close collaboration with our German HQ.
Main Responsibilities

- Monitor costs across all initiatives, prevent overruns, and ensure transparent, consolidated financial reporting to HQ.
- Oversee and ensure adherence to compliance and regulations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks at the programme level.
Interface with HQ (Germany) & International Corporate Environment
- Act as the primary point of contact between UK-based programme delivery and our HQ leadership.

- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with Customers and key external stakeholders across the full programme lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage interactions with public authorities to ensure timely permits, approvals, and compliance across all projects.
- Represent the company in high-level government and customer forums, addressing both delivery progress and strategic concerns.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
