Exciting Opportunity in Mental Health Emergency Departments and Neighbourhood Mental Health Centres

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to support our implementation of Mental Health Emergency Departments and Neighbourhood Mental Health Centres within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. If you have programme management experience and would like to work in a large NHS community Trust, this could be your new post!

About the Role

The role will be based within the Transformation and Programme Management Team, supporting and working with a wide range of health and care partners.

Responsibilities

The role of Programme Manager is to support the workstream SRO, clinical lead, and responsible Directors in the delivery of the stated objectives of the workstreams.

  • Contribute complex project management expert knowledge and experience in guiding others through the challenges of service transformation projects with complex stakeholder management.
  • Define a clear strategic direction, setting out plans for project delivery, coordinating redesign, and influencing strategic development.

  • Supervise and lead Change Managers and Project Support Officers within the Improvement Team.
  • Provide high-quality leadership that fosters a culture of improvement and innovation.
  • Mentor and coach team members, both within and external to the Improvement Team.
  • Exhibit exemplary leadership behaviour and remove obstacles to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in change management across the team.
  • Offer formal and informal support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Actively assist and collaborate with peers in the Improvement Team.

This role is pivotal in promoting a supportive and innovative work environment, guiding change processes, and ensuring the adoption of best practices within the team.
