Programme Manager – SAS
My Client is a Global Bank based in Sheffield; they are looking for a contract Programme Manager with SAS experience to join the Data team.
Based in Sheffield, 2-3 days a week in the office.
12 month contract. Rate is £650 per day.
Key skills:
- 10+ years’ programme / transformation delivery experience, leading large-scale, complex and global change across multiple workstreams
- Deep experience of SAS and data platform migrations, including code remediation, data lineage, reconciliation, testing, parallel runs, cutover, decommissioning and post-migration assurance
- Strong programme leadership and governance skills, covering scope, budgets, RAID, dependencies, benefits, risk, stage gates and audit-ready reporting
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse, matrix teams and engage senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Security, Controls and suppliers within regulated Financial Services
- Strong change, stakeholder and adoption management experience, with expertise across Agile, hybrid and traditional delivery approaches; SAFe/Agile certification desirable

Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of an assigned SAS Analytics transformation programme, managing scope, milestones, budget, dependencies, controls and acceptance criteria
- Deliver the target-state roadmap, coordinating technology, data, controls, people, processes and adoption across the programme
- Drive SAS Analytics code and workload migration, covering platform readiness, remediation, testing, release planning, operational readiness and business acceptance
- Lead legacy estate retirement and decommissioning, including SAS Analytics programmes and Altair, ensuring accurate inventories, migration/replacement, validation, sign-off and closure
- Implement engineering, access and control governance, including SAS code governance, CI/CD, identity and access controls, security, resilience, audit evidence and regulatory requirements
