Are you an experienced, dynamic leader passionate about transforming children’s healthcare?

Join West London Children’s Healthcare (WLCH) as a Programme and Innovation Manager and drive high-impact initiatives across North West London. You’ll collaborate with clinical teams, commissioning partners, and stakeholders to deliver innovative programmes that improve outcomes for children and young people.


About the Role

This pivotal role will provide a highly effective management function for programme initiatives facilitated by our organisation, supporting the development and delivery of high impact programmes that span the entire North West London region. From enhancing mental health support in acute settings to advancing care pathways in epilepsy and transition services, the post holder will take on a portfolio of highly impactful programmes that will continue to change, and work with a highly skilled MDT to shape and innovative integrated solutions that improve outcomes for children and young people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Champion service improvement
  • Foster cross-organisational collaboration
  • Ensure programmes are aligned with strategic priorities and delivered in a highly organised and timely manner
  • Work across a complex and evolving portfolio of programmes, relationships, challenges, and innovations that contribute to service transformation for children and young people
  • Think laterally, build strong and trusted relationships quickly, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Bring a strong appetite for analytics, evidence, and learning into everything you do, and demonstrate the ability to rapidly understand new clinical and operational subjects
  • Show a commitment to learning, self-reflection, appraisal, and development, including undertaking an annual Personal Development Review and supporting others to do the same
  • Engage proactively in available project opportunities, contributing to project work for approximately 70–80% of your time, often working on several programmes simultaneously, and balancing short term deliverables with longer-term strategic goals
  • Shape and oversee the delivery of projects (including coordinating research, analysis, and materials production), working with significant self-direction and directing others; and manage various inputs to ensure the completion of projects to time and within the allocated resources
