Programme Manager – Typhoon Export Support

Your impact

Do you want to play a leading role in supporting one of Europe’s largest and most important defence programmes? We are looking for a Programme Manager – Typhoon Export Support to join our Typhoon Support team, taking a key leadership role in the delivery and development of our support business across our international Typhoon customers.

As Programme Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, you will have responsibility for a portfolio of key export support contracts and customers. You will lead a cross-functional IPT, bringing together functions from across the business to deliver contractual commitments, maintain strong operational performance and customer relationships, and develop the programme for the future.

What you will do as Programme Manager – Typhoon Export Support

  • Lead the cross-functional IPT responsible for the successful delivery of key Typhoon Export Support programmes, providing clear direction, priorities, and accountability across the team.
  • Take overall programme responsibility for a portfolio of customer contracts, ensuring delivery against contractual, financial, and operational commitments.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for our export customers and key industrial partners, developing effective relationships and ensuring alignment on priorities and programme performance.
  • Ensure the Export IPT acts as the effective interface between our Product and Test Equipment IPTs and export customers, providing customers with clear visibility of relevant activities, priorities, and progress, while enabling the Product and Test Equipment IPTs to remain customer-agnostic and focused on common product requirements.
  • Drive programme performance across schedule, cost, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction, developing and executing robust recovery or improvement plans where required.
  • Lead the development and execution of programme strategy, ensuring our support solutions continue to meet evolving customer and product requirements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow and strengthen the Typhoon Export Support business, working with customers and internal stakeholders to shape future requirements and secure follow-on business.
  • Lead effective programme governance, including management of risks and opportunities, financial performance, resource requirements, and key programme decisions.
  • Champion best-in-class project and programme management practices, supporting the development of capability across the wider Typhoon Support organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll bring

You will bring demonstrated experience in programme or project management, with the ability to lead complex programmes and federate cross-functional teams around common objectives. You will be comfortable taking ownership of programme performance, working across organisational boundaries, and turning data into clear plans and tangible outcomes.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated experience in programme and/or project management, ideally within a complex engineering, aerospace, or defence environment.
  • Experience leading and federating cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or equivalent multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing complex customer contracts and delivering against financial, schedule, operational, and contractual commitments.
  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven programme plans, translating performance information into clear priorities, actions, and measurable improvements.
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, including risk and opportunity management, financial management, resource planning, and performance management.
  • Experience working directly with customers and industrial partners in a complex programme environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively across multiple internal organisations, balancing customer requirements with wider product and business priorities.
  • Knowledge of product support, Typhoon/Eurofighter, or the wider defence support landscape would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
