Job Description
Cameo is recruiting for a Programme Manager to join an established and innovative technology business based in Banbury on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within a software and technology environment, working on interesting customer projects with a real-world impact.
You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration, and implementation projects—keeping everything moving, managing expectations, and making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected standard.
As Programme Manager, You Will Be Responsible For
- Planning and coordinating projects from initiation through to delivery and customer sign-off
- Creating and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinating software development, configuration, and implementation activity
- Working closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis, and Professional Services teams
- Supporting Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Monitoring project progress, identifying blockers, and keeping delivery on track
- Managing scope, change requests, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Coordinating customer deployment activity, including testing, data migration, and go-live
- Acting as a key day-to-day contact for customers and managing stakeholder expectations
- Running project meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks, and next steps
- Supporting budget, resource, and forecast tracking
- Producing accurate project reports and maintaining project documentation
- Supporting project handover, customer sign-off, and lessons learned
- Contributing ideas to improve project processes, tools, and ways of working

As Programme Manager, You Must Be/Have
- Experience in a Project Manager or similar project delivery role
- A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, or Agile/Scrum
- An understanding of software development and the software development lifecycle
- Experience of Agile delivery methods such as Scrum
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to identify risks and issues early and turn them into practical actions
- Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools
- A good understanding of budgets, resources, timescales, and project delivery

It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience within defence or another highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of learning technology
- Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software implementations
- An understanding of training systems or learning technologies
- UK Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain it
