Salary: Circa £59,000

Job Description:
Managing various programmes/portfolios of work, both internally & customer funded projects. You will be responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle (from bids through to delivery). Projects will range from early maturity R&D through to product realisation.
You will establish the priority setting/balancing of a multi-functional team on a daily/weekly basis. As Programme Manager, you will work with functional colleagues, be responsible for the management of resources and work packages ensuring that competent people are available to satisfy project requirements, whilst maintaining effective resource utilisation.
Core Duties:
- Establish and maintain effective customer and supplier relationships maintaining regular communications and managing expectations
- Provide professional Project Management across complex projects and programmes
- Be accountable for delivery of the projects and programmes and results of the team
- Manage a multi-functional team
- Identify and develop follow on business opportunities related to their products or processes
- Generate business cases with a good level of business acumen

Essential Skills:
- Degree-level qualification or have comparable experience in the engineering/manufacturing/construction sector, with demonstrable Project Management delivery experience, alongside CAPEX knowledge or experience
- Formal training in Project Management (accredited by APM, PMI or PRINCE), with knowledge of scheduling and risk software tools (e.g. MS Project & Predict!)
- Experienced in building customer relationships and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
- Experience on complex projects/programmes with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices)
The Technology Delivery Team:
Working in a key leadership position within the Munitions Technology Delivery Team, you will develop and manage complex programmes to achieve on time delivery of product or milestones, within cost and budget to the agreed quality standard. Through the development of effective relationships across functions, sites, internal and external stakeholders, you will play a leading role in the swift and effective resolution of programme issues.
