Programme Manager: Young People & Communities
Full-time, fixed term to 31 March 2028
Salary: £30,000 – 32,500 per annum, dependent on experience
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual with an asset-based approach to creative engagement with young people and communities to join our team.
Role Overview
The Programme Manager: Young People & Communities devises and produces impactful cultural activities alongside communities and young people within the Bradford District with a particular focus on delivery in Keighley. The postholder is a member of the core staff team contributing to the strategic planning and operational delivery of Word Up North.

Key Responsibilities
- Engagement with Communities: Working with community groups and young people aged 5-18, deliver programmes encouraging creativity with words, reading, and writing in a range of forms.
- Outcomes: Increase participants’ well-being, confidence, and connectedness, and help to define, communicate, and celebrate a sense of place.
- Collaboration: Work with schools, libraries, community leaders, freelance writers, artists, and creative practitioners to deliver the programmes, managing relationships on a day-to-day basis.
- Stakeholder Management: Be a key point of contact for funders, partners, and stakeholders.
- Data and Evaluation: Responsible for collecting data, evaluating the projects you manage, and reporting their outcomes.

Contract Details
The role is being offered on a fixed-term basis initially until 31 March 2028, with an option for the contract to be extended if organisational goals are achieved.
