Mastered Mentor (Business Finance Mentor, and Digital Marketing Mentor)
Location: London-based (in-person workshops in London + online sessions)
Salary: £40,000 FTE (or equivalent sessional/day rate depending on delivery model)
Contract: 10-month fixed-term aligned to cohort schedules, with opportunity to extend

Your Mission
We are looking for two mentors, one with a specialism in Business and Finance, and one with expertise in Digital Marketing. Your mission is to guide, inspire, assess and ultimately ensure that our freelancers are able to build better businesses.

You Will Be Responsible For
- Collaborating on the design and refinement of curriculum and session content to ensure optimum learning opportunities, and alignment with qualification learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
- Leading engaging in-person workshops, online seminars and accountability sessions
- Facilitating peer co-working sessions, giving real-time guidance and feedback as freelancers build their businesses.
- Identifying those who need extra support, and ensuring they get it
- Setting assignments and assessing work, providing clear, actionable feedback that helps learners grow
- Ensuring our assessment is done to the quality our end-point-assessor expects
- Collaborating with local employers to ensure the learning experience meets their needs
You Are:
- A practical practitioner: You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing or business finance—ideally having run your own freelance practice or micro-business and have delivered training before in person and/or online. You’ve been where your mentees are so know exactly how they feel.
- A coach more than a teacher: You understand that adults building a business don’t need to be told exactly what to do - but instead, coached to find their own solution. You understand that building confidence is just as important to business and personal growth.
- AI-fluent: You are a confident, practical user of mainstream AI tools in your day-to-day work and are excited to teach others how to leverage AI ethically and effectively.
- Organised and quality-focused: You take pride in structured, clear record-keeping and understand the importance of quality assurance, assessment criteria, and feedback loops.
- Collaborative: You love working in a cross-functional team alongside other mentors, and the wider learning programme team.

It Would Be Great If You Had
- Assessing/teaching credentials: A recognised assessing qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1) or teaching/coaching qualification (such as AET/PTLLS) (or willingness to work towards one).
- Awarding body experience: Prior experience assessing or delivering Gateway Qualifications (or similar vocational awarding bodies).
- Network and connections: An existing network of London-based micro-businesses, clients, or creative contacts.
