About The Role

Make a difference to the student experience

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Programme Officer (CPD) to join our CPD Programme Operations team on a 12‑month fixed‑term, part-time basis to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of our continuing professional development (CPD) courses, helping to ensure a high‑quality experience for students, employers and academic colleagues.

As a Programme Officer (CPD), you will provide day‑to‑day operational and administrative support across a portfolio of courses mostly delivered to NHS staff continuing their professional development. You will respond to a wide range of student, employer and staff queries, manage course‑related processes in line with university regulations, and work closely with colleagues across Academic Services and the wider University.

You will need to be confident handling sensitive information, prioritising competing demands, and communicating professionally and empathetically with a diverse range of stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this varied and fast‑paced role, you will:

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative and operational support for academic programmes
  • Act as a key point of contact for students, responding to enquiries via email, telephone, online platforms and in person
  • Administering key student processes and liaising with academic staff, professional services teams, employers and partners
  • Contribute to service improvement by identifying more effective ways of working
  • Supporting University‑wide events if required

Why join us?

You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team that plays a vital role in the student journey. We offer:

  • A welcoming and inclusive working environment
  • Opportunities to develop a broad understanding of higher education operations
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, sustainability and staff development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
