Programme Test Manager – Private Markets - Permanent Opportunity

A leading global private markets investment firm is looking to hire an experienced Programme Test Manager within their Technology function. The role will take ownership of testing across complex programmes spanning internally developed applications, third-party platforms, SaaS solutions, and external suppliers.

The Programme Test Manager will be expected to:

  • Define and lead programme-wide test strategies across complex, integrated technology environments.
  • Oversee System, Integration, End-to-End, UAT, and Non-Functional testing.
  • Establish quality gates, defect management, test reporting, and governance.
  • Coordinate testing across development teams, business users, project teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Manage test environments, resources, capacity, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Provide clear reporting on quality, defects, risks, and readiness to senior stakeholders.
  • Own test closure and acceptance documentation to support Go/No-Go decisions.
  • Help evolve the organisation’s testing approach, including automation and modern tooling.

The successful Programme Test Manager will possess:

  • Significant experience as a Programme Test Manager, Senior Test Manager, Test Delivery Manager, or equivalent.
  • A strong track record managing large-scale testing across multiple systems and workstreams.
  • Strong experience across SIT, E2E, UAT, defect management, test planning, and governance.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and maintaining accountability for testing quality.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Agile delivery, and the SDLC.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Financial services experience, ideally within private markets, asset management, or investment management.
  • Experience with platforms such as eFront, DealCloud, Aladdin, Charles River, or similar would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to Playwright, SpecFlow, Postman, RestSharp, Databricks, or Power BI would also be beneficial.
