Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery - Social Mobility Initiative (c.30%)

• Coordinate industry volunteers into mentoring, broadcast sessions and in-school speaking opportunities, galvanising industry participation.
• Organise the summer internship programme, working with volunteers and organisations across the industry.
• Collect impact data and case studies for use in reporting and communications.
• Manage relationships with charity partners (Career Ready, The Access Project and Futures For All) against agreed KPIs and delivery plans.

Events and Fundraising (c.30%)

• Delivery of the Annual Gala Dinner: ticketing and sales logistics, venue and supplier liaison, and event collateral.
• Coordinate the annual grants nomination process, from industry submissions and liaising with charities through to Trustee Board sign-off.
• Manage the charitable auction, including securing donated items, managing the auction platform, and coordinating on-the-night delivery.
• Support the Trustee Board on sponsorship and engagement with industry members in the run-up to the event.
• Maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, supporters and industry member organisations, ensuring high levels of engagement and retention.
• Delivery and attendance at industry events, including, but not limited to: the Annual Gala Dinner (April), promoting the Social Mobility working group/networking events (bi-annually), attending the GIIA Berlin conference (February 2027), organising the internship reunion event (October).

Communications and Marketing (c.20%)

• Maintain and manage the IIF’s website, LinkedIn channel and Mailchimp newsletter with regular updates.
• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s communications plan.
• Develop compelling impact stories and case studies that demonstrate the outcomes achieved through the Foundation's programmes and fundraising activities.
• Produce the Annual Impact Report, drawing on data and stories from charity partners.
• Monitor and report on communications effectiveness and supporter engagement metrics.
• Draft and circulate correspondence with members, supporters and the wider industry.

Governance and Operations (c.20%)

• Coordinate Trustee Board meetings monthly: agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
• Support preparation and submission of the Foundation’s annual accounts and Charity Commission return.
• Maintain the Google shared drive, ensuring folders are organised and clear.
• Maintain the Xero accounting system, process invoices and expenses, reconcile accounts and produce financial information for Trustee Board review with support of IIF Trustee and Treasurer
• Maintain audit, compliance, safeguarding and governance documentation, keeping policies current and fit for purpose
• Act as the Foundation's safeguarding lead (or safeguarding coordinator), ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and kept up to date and working with charity partners on safeguarding matters

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience working in the charity, nonprofit or social impact sector or experience working with the infrastructure industry
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and volunteer networks.
• Understanding of corporate charitable support and CSR dynamics.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
• Confident written communication, including reporting and marketing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across the industry.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Good IT skills, including content creation and management (particularly LinkedIn).

Desirable

• Experience delivering events and/or fundraising campaigns.
• Knowledge of charity governance principles and Charity Commission reporting requirements.
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
• A genuine interest in social mobility and widening access to careers in infrastructure investment.
• Familiarity with the infrastructure investment or private equity sector.
