About the Role
The Programmes Executive undertakes to make our programmes happen, be that taking on research tasks from the CEO or Programmes Manager to find the best new sports coach, or therapist or other expert to lead sessions, to secure great venues, or to manage seamless logistics of things like resource delivery, or flyer printing. This role involves going along to sessions on each programme to build rapport with guests and feedback how it seems each programme is running and suggesting improvements or changes for managers to consider. It involves liaising with partners who are supporting us to run particular programmes, or reporting back to partners on how the programmes they are supporting are going. It involves helping to manage a large body of volunteers. This role involves some resource management (donated items such as coats, digital items, toiletries), and shared management as well as regular on the ground delivery of the Drop In (Fridays 6.30-8.30pm). This is both a desk and frontline job.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
