Programming Rights Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent and process-driven individual to join our Programming team as a Programming Rights Coordinator. Supporting programme rights management, content tracking and scheduling across Hearst Networks UK's channels and platforms, this role could be a great fit for you if you are looking to begin your career in television operations, content rights or media management.

Reporting to the Editor, Content & Commissioning, you will work closely with Programming, Scheduling, Content Management, Finance, Legal, Operations and US Programming teams to ensure programme rights, metadata and scheduling information are accurately maintained throughout the content lifecycle. In this role your time will mainly be split between rights operations and stakeholder coordination, whilst you will also be responsible for accurate administration and data entry, and some analysis and reporting.

Full training will be provided across our rights management systems and processes. We're looking for someone who is organised, enjoys working with processes and data, has excellent attention to detail and is eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a permanent contract position. This role will be hybrid based in the London office 3 days per week Tuesday-Thursday, supporting award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY, Crime+Investigation and BLAZE.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Editor, Content & Commissioning by coordinating the end-to-end rights management process for programming across UK and EMEA territories.
  • Ensure rights data remains accurate across systems, trackers and multiple territories, resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Support the administration of linear and non-linear programme rights across Hearst Networks UK.
  • Coordinate content orders and monitor programme deliveries, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the Editor, Content & Commissioning in the day-to-day administration related to the Scheduling, Content Management, Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, PR and Digital teams.
  • Produce reports, maintain departmental trackers and act as a key contact for internal stakeholders to respond to rights and programming queries.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements and departmental initiatives.
  • Build effective relationships across Programming, Scheduling, Content Management, Finance, Legal, Marketing and Operations, escalating issues where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
