Position Overview
We are seeking a Progress OpenEdge Database Developer with 6+ years of experience in Progress RDBMS development and database-focused application delivery.
The role emphasizes database design, development, performance optimization, data migration, and implementation of small to medium-sized changes in an Agile environment.
Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge RDBMS development.
- Strong expertise in OpenEdge database design, including tables, indexes, relationships, constraints, and schema changes.
- Proficiency in ABL database programming and SQL-based data access.
- Strong knowledge of query optimization, indexing strategies, locking, concurrency, and transaction management.
- Experience developing database scripts, data migrations, conversions, and deployment packages.
- Understanding of data integrity, normalization, validation, and database security principles.
- Experience working in Agile development teams and using ADO and/or Jira.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or similar.
- Practical ServiceNow experience for tracking defects, changes, incidents, and releases.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to developers, business users, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and team-player skills.

- 6+ years of professional experience in Progress OpenEdge database development.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional, and client-facing teams.
- Ability to own database development tasks from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
