About The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our Finance Department team in Falkirk or Glasgow. You will provide support to stakeholders on the accounting and budgetary treatment of projects, enabling accurate accounting and reporting over the project life cycle.
The role is offered on a permanent basis, working Monday to Thursday, 28 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities Of The Role
- Supporting stakeholders on the accounting and budgetary treatment of projects.
- Responsible for accurate accounting of the project life cycle.
- Support stakeholders in completing Stage Gate reports.
- Keep accurate records of all active and completed Projects and Stage gate reports.
- Support the continuous improvement of business processes within project accounting, to ensure efficiency and business improvement.
- Responsible for financial reporting of Capital Investment Program, including Grant in aid and 3rd party funding.
About The Reward
This role offers a progressive starting salary of £49,588 (Band F) for a 35 hour week. Pro rata for a 28 hour week.

About You
Qualifications and knowledge required:
- Relevant professional accountancy qualification.
Skills And Experience Required:
- A finance background with at least 3 years’ experience.
- Strong technical accounting ability.
- Strong analytical, numeric and critical reasoning skills.
- Awareness, understanding and experience of working in a public sector organisation.
Qualities & Abilities Required:
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and FReM.
