They are now seeking a talented and ambitious Finance Project Accountant to join the UK based team. The Finance Project Accountant role is focussed on helping the client services teams manage their projects, ensuring timely billing, accurate forecasting, correct monthly revenue recognition, project analysis and more. You will need a prior understanding of this type of role and tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Project Manager to oversee £10m of fee based revenue, ensuring all projects are reconciled when complete to an audit ready standard
• Work closely with senior finance team and Account Management leads to improve recoverability and productivity across their clients and team
• Support the completion and evaluation of various reporting to improve business efficiency, making recommendations to senior finance team members
• Assist with the preparation of month end management accounts, focusing on revenue recognition and WIP
• Prepare job profitability analysis which involves regular liaison with Account Managers to understand variances from expectations, and the commercial and financial aspects of client relationships
• Support updates to the financial tracker including data management
• Work closely with Account Management to raise and check client estimates before they are sent, comparing the estimate with previous similar projects to ensure we are charging the correct amount
• Use reporting to regularly liaison with Account Managers to understand variances from expectations, and the commercial and financial aspects of client relationships
• Support Account Management team with monthly reconciliations and ad-hoc queries
• Use problem solving skills to ensure the resolution of any system or reporting challenges
• Be on hand to assist staff across the business with Paprika and process/policy queries
• Help ensure all financial transactions recorded are compliant with financial policies and procedures, highlighting any breaches to senior team.
