About the role

As Project Accountant you will lead the commercial and project accountancy activities that underpin effective business performance, providing trusted insight across forecasting, billing, revenue, business planning and contract management. You will help foster a collaborative, high-performing community, sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement across the discipline. This role offers flexibility to be based from our Altrincham Office (Manchester) where you’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team environment, supported by our hybrid working approach.

Key Responsibilities to the Business

  • Facilitate monthly commercial review meetings with key stakeholders to improve forecast quality, commercial decision making and performance.
  • Lead the month-end billing cycle, ensuring invoices accurately reflect contractual terms and all billable activity is captured.
  • Lead the assurance of the business pipeline and revenue forecasts, maintaining accurate information to support commercial decision making.
  • Lead business planning activities with key stakeholders, translating forecasts into business plans, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Own the commercial contract register, ensuring contractual obligations, commercial opportunities and key lifecycle events are proactively managed.

Monitor the application of the methods and requirements of the Online Operations Manual (OOM) process, pro-actively managing technical risks and issues, identifying improvements and building these into the process.
  • Build effective working relationships with other Service Groups, client counterparts where relevant, and those of partner/3rd party organisations.
  • Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification and maintain professional competence through CPD.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
