Project Accountant – 12-month contract

Glasgow | Up to £65,000 | Immediate start

VNI Finance is recruiting a qualified Project Accountant to support a business through a new system implementation and improvements across its finance function. This hands-on role combines accounting, business partnering, and project delivery. You’ll work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements, improve processes, and support a successful new system implementation.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a new business system, ensuring finance requirements are understood and reflected.
  • Partner with teams across the business to understand their needs and resolve finance-related challenges.
  • Review existing finance processes, identify improvements and help put them into practice.
  • Support data migration, reconciliation and testing to ensure accurate financial information.
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve the quality and efficiency of reporting.
  • Help colleagues adopt new processes and ways of working.

About you

  • Qualified accountant — CA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Experience in process improvement, with exposure to system implementation or finance change projects desirable.
  • Confident building relationships and communicating with non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently, take ownership and deliver against deadlines.

Working arrangements

  • 12-month contract, with an immediate start.
  • Salary up to £65,000.
  • Glasgow — five days per week on site
  • 35 hours per week, with flexible working hours (7am-2:30pm/8am-3:30pm/9am-4:30pm)
