London | Hybrid | Initial 6-Month Contract | Day Rate: £300–£350
I am currently working alongside an entertainment business looking to appoint a qualified Project Accountant on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a broad, hands-on position combining management accounting with project-based finance work. The successful candidate will support across core accounting requirements while taking ownership of a varied portfolio of projects focused on improving reporting, processes and the way financial information is produced and used across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the month-end close and management reporting process
- Developing and improving financial and management reporting
- Consolidating and analysing financial data from multiple sources
- Reviewing existing finance processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Developing dashboards, reporting tools and templates
- Supporting improvements to financial controls and ways of working
- Reviewing financial information to support commercial decision-making
- Taking ownership of finance projects from initial review through to implementation
- Working closely with finance and non-financial stakeholders
- Supporting wider accounting, budgeting and finance requirements as needed

The successful candidate will:
- Qualified accountant, with an ACA / CA and practice-trained background preferred
- Ideally have trained within a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm
- Have excellent Excel and data analysis skills
- Be able to demonstrate experience improving finance processes, reporting or controls
- Have a logical, analytical and solutions-focused approach
- Be comfortable taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to delivery
- Be confident working independently and partnering with stakeholders across the business
