£55,000 - £65,000 + wider benefits, dependent on experience
Stanton House is exclusively partnering with a privately owned construction business to appoint a Project Accountant within its growing finance function.
The business delivers end-to-end projects, combining design, project delivery, and construction services. Following a period of significant growth, revenues have increased substantially and the company is forecasting a strong pipeline of future work. With project activity continuing to scale, the leadership team is looking to strengthen the link between finance and operations through the appointment of a commercially focused finance professional.
This is a collaborative, values-led organisation that has built its reputation on quality, long-term client relationships, and delivering exceptional project outcomes. The culture is close-knit, supportive, and relationship-driven, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This is a newly created opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to move beyond traditional management accounting responsibilities and become embedded within a project-led business.
Acting as a finance business partner to operational and project teams, you will help improve project visibility, financial accountability, and commercial decision-making across a growing portfolio of work. You will work closely with project managers, providing insight, challenge, and support throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
