Your new company

A well-established construction business is seeking temporary support to assist with the implementation and optimisation of its purchase ordering processes. This is a project-focused role that will play a key part in improving efficiency and introducing greater automation across the business.

Your new role

Working closely with finance and operational teams, you will be responsible for helping to develop and implement the purchase ordering functionality within the company's construction software. The project has previously been started but not completed, and the business is now looking for an individual who can take ownership and drive it forward.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing existing purchasing and accounts processes
  • Assisting with the setup and configuration of the purchase ordering system
  • Testing workflows and identifying process improvements
  • Supporting the integration between the construction software and Sage
  • Working with stakeholders across finance, purchasing and operations
  • Providing guidance and training where required
  • Ensuring data accuracy and process consistency throughout implementation

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience within a finance, purchasing or buying function
  • Strong understanding of purchase orders and procurement processes
  • Experience of systems implementation, process improvement or automation projects
  • Confident working with finance and operational stakeholders
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently

Desirable:

  • Experience using Construct Cloud / Eque2
  • Knowledge of Sage accounting software
  • Previous experience within the construction sector
