Project Administrative Support Specialist (Temporary)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Administrative Support Specialist for a temporary assignment. This role is essential for our administrative process, focusing on the accurate and timely completion of capitalisation and retirement forms. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of liaising with various team members to gather information and ensure compliance.

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 3 months, based primarily out of our Slough office with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Learning: Quickly learn and understand the relevant parts of the administration of capitalisation and retirement processes.
  • Form Management: Execute the process of filling out capitalisation/retirement forms, ensuring all information is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Collaboration: Proactively engage project engineers, associates, and other stakeholders to seek the necessary information and guidance for form completion.
  • Communication: Provide regular feedback to the job manager and promptly report any issues, hurdles, or delays encountered in the process.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain a systematic and organised filing system for all capitalisation documents and related correspondence.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or support function, preferably within accounting and/or assets capitalisation areas.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to work comfortably with large datasets.
  • General understanding of engineering or technical terminology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and proactively seek answers.
  • Ability to work on-site in Slough at least 60% of the working week.

Desirable:

  • Practical experience with SAP or Ariba is advantageous but not essential.
