About the Role
We are seeking a Project Analyst to join our growing project delivery team within our Pension Administration business.
This role is well suited to professionals with experience in Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme administration who want to develop their career with a stronger focus on projects, data analysis, calculations, and project delivery.
The position may be a strong fit for an existing Analyst, Technician, or similar professional, as well as Pension Administrators, Senior Administrators, or Principal-level professionals looking for a new and more challenging direction.
The successful candidate will lead and support pension projects and events, process and validate calculations, prepare reports and member communications, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead and support pension projects and project-related events.
- Process, review, and validate pension calculations and project data.
- Prepare detailed reports and project documentation.
- Monitor project activities and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the Principal with project delivery and complex activities when required.

Pension Administration & Data
- Apply knowledge of occupational pension schemes to project activities.
- Work with Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Hybrid pension schemes.
- Apply scheme rules, regulations, and pension administration principles when reviewing project work.
- Support GMP-related activities and calculations.
- Analyse pension data and identify discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure calculations, reports, and member information are accurate.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through email, telephone calls, and meetings.
- Prepare and review member correspondence and client reports.
- Explain complex pension calculations and technical information in a clear and understandable way.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supporting teams.
- Escalate issues and provide appropriate updates to stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Participate in post-project reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute ideas to improve project processes, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of effective working practices across the team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in occupational pension scheme administration.
- Experience working with Defined Benefit / Final Salary pension schemes.
- Solid understanding of pension scheme rules and regulations.
- Experience with GMP work.
- Experience with DB, DC, and/or Hybrid pension schemes.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Previous experience working with pension calculations, data, or project-related activities.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent numerical and mathematical ability.
- Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs, formulas, and PivotTables.
- Strong Microsoft Word skills, including report preparation and mail merges.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
- Ability to explain complex calculations in simple and clear terms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workloads effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate confidently with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
