We are recruiting: Project and Operations Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
Fairley Gunn Group is looking for an experienced coordinator to support project and operational delivery across Gilligan Engineering Services and NDT Electronic Services within our Radiography Division.
This is a hands-on coordination role with genuine day-to-day autonomy. You will maintain live project schedules, coordinate engineering availability, materials and suppliers, support customer requirements, and keep work moving from order acceptance through to job closure and invoicing readiness.

The position has no direct reports or formal people management responsibility. We are looking for someone who can confidently coordinate multiple live jobs, resolve routine scheduling matters, and identify when management or technical input is required.
Key details
- £36,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Fixed term maternity cover from October 2026 to March 2028
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Primarily based in Jarrow
- Regular travel to Prudhoe, with business mileage reimbursed
- Expected start date by 1 October 2026

Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical services would be particularly valuable, although strong project or operations coordination experience from a comparable environment will also be considered.
