Salary: £32,982
Hours: Full time – 37.5hrs/week
Contract: Fixed term until March 2029
Location: The Barn, Tadcaster LS24 9HA
Closing date: 6/11/26

Tadcaster & Rural CIC is a well-established community interest company working for the benefit of Tadcaster and its surrounding villages. Based at The Barn, our community and youth hub in the heart of Tadcaster, we deliver and support a wide range of projects, services and activities for local people.
We are now looking for a Project and Operations Manager to join our small and committed team.
This is a new and varied role, created to strengthen the organisation as we enter the next stage of our development. Working closely with our CEO, Lead Youth Worker, Directors and community partners, you will help us develop new projects and funding opportunities, manage the day-to-day operation of The Barn and strengthen our relationships across the communities we serve.
About the Role
No two days are likely to be quite the same. You might be developing a funding application, monitoring the finances of an existing project, working with a community partner on a new idea, overseeing activity at The Barn or representing Tadcaster & Rural CIC at a local meeting or event.

The role will include:
- Developing projects and identifying and securing funding opportunities
- Managing funded projects, budgets, monitoring and reporting
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, bookings and use of The Barn
- Helping to maximise the use of The Barn and the income it generates
- Developing relationships with funders, businesses, community organisations and other partners
- Supporting communications and promotion of our work
- Ensuring effective operational and compliance arrangements
- Working alongside our Lead Youth Worker to provide wider organisational leadership and deputise for the CEO where appropriate
About You
We are less interested in where you have worked than in what you can bring to the role.
You will be organised, practical and self-motivated, comfortable managing several priorities and able to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
You will have experience of developing projects and securing funding, alongside financial or budget management and taking projects from an idea through to successful delivery. You will also be a confident communicator who can work equally well with colleagues, community groups, funders, businesses and other partners.
Above all, we are looking for someone with a positive, flexible and collaborative approach who shares our commitment to Tadcaster and its surrounding communities.

Ability to travel independently across Tadcaster and the surrounding area as required for the role, including access to a vehicle where necessary.
What We Offer

We offer:
- ANNUAL LEAVE: 5.6 weeks per annum, excluding bank holidays
- FLEXIBLE WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: Home working and TOIL
- COMPANY PENSION
Some evening and weekend working will occasionally be required, with appropriate time off in lieu arrangements.
