The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Project and Operations Manager to lead our UK Projects, Manufacturing, Workshop and Operational functions.
Based in Fordoun, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of projects and operational activities across the UK. Working closely with project, engineering, commercial, HSEQ and operational teams, you will drive operational excellence while ensuring client expectations and business objectives are achieved.
This role also provides an opportunity to contribute to business growth, develop organisational capability and identify opportunities for diversification and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UK Projects and Operations strategy in line with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and accountability for UK project and operational delivery.
- Oversee project planning, mobilisation and execution, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Lead multidisciplinary project, manufacturing, workshop and operational teams.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, utilisation and continuous improvement across operational functions.
- Ensure resources, equipment, facilities and personnel are available to meet operational requirements.
- Oversee the performance, maintenance and readiness of operational assets and equipment.
- Champion a strong HSEQ culture and ensure compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other key stakeholders.
- Support tenders, proposals, commercial strategies and business development opportunities.
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting and cost control.
- Develop team capability through coaching, performance management, workforce development and succession planning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in relevant project management and planning tools, document and data management systems, and engineering or technical tools.
Essential Experience
- 7–10 years’ experience in subsea construction, offshore operations or oil and gas project execution.
- Significant experience leading multidisciplinary project and operational teams.
- Proven experience managing high-value campaigns involving fabrication, mobilisation and construction.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations, including DNV, IMCA, API, ISO, LOLER and PUWER.
- Demonstrated HSEQ leadership, risk management and offshore construction safety experience.
- Experience in operational or delivery leadership, preferably within engineering, manufacturing or industrial services.
- Strong project management, operational planning and resource management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management capabilities.
- Demonstrated analytical, planning and organisational skills.

Desirable Experience
- Demonstrated sales or business development experience.
- On-site operational experience delivering stabilisation solutions.
- Experience managing diverse subsea teams delivering integrated subsea projects.
- Experience with financial and functional reporting.
