Hillcrest Homes is recruiting for a Project and Support Specialist.
About the Department
Our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team provides the platforms, services and capabilities that keep Hillcrest secure, efficient and forward looking.
We support a wide range of core business systems, devices, identity and access management, and corporate applications. The team is organised into Service Desk, Infrastructure, Applications and a developing Technical Implementation function that focuses on delivering secure and reliable change.
The environment is modern, collaborative and evolving and this role contributes directly to improving how we plan, deliver and govern technical change across the organisation.
About the Role
As a Project and Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering planned technical changes, upgrades and improvements across our technology landscape. You’ll carry out hands-on configuration tasks, support environment changes, and ensure that all work is delivered safely, accurately, and in line with change management processes.
You will prepare deployment plans, test scripts, validation evidence and clear documentation to support repeatable, controlled technical delivery. You’ll also work closely with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Applications and third-party suppliers to ensure planned work is coordinated, understood, and communicated clearly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
