Salary: GBP37,43,000

An award-winning architectural practice known for its strong commitment to its people is looking to appoint an experienced Project Architect to join its well-established team in Leeds. With studios located across the UK, the practice has developed a strong reputation for producing thoughtful, high-quality architecture across a broad portfolio of sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ARB-registered Project Architect with solid post-qualification experience to take responsibility for the delivery of exciting projects, working across the RIBA work stages from early design development through to completion. You will become an integral part of a collaborative and design-led studio, with plenty of opportunity to contribute creatively while developing your technical and project leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of architectural projects through the relevant RIBA work stages
  • Develop design proposals from concept through to detailed design and construction
  • Produce and oversee planning submissions, technical drawings, specifications, and construction information
  • Coordinate internal project teams alongside external consultants, contractors, and specialist advisers
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and other key project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and quality to support successful project outcomes
  • Ensure designs and technical information comply with UK Building Regulations, planning policy, and relevant legislation
  • Support and mentor Part I, Part II, and junior architectural staff where appropriate
  • Contribute to fee proposals, bids, tenders, presentations, and new business opportunities
  • Attend design reviews, client meetings, site visits, and project meetings as required

Ideal Candidate

  • ARB-registered Architect with relevant post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice
  • Proven experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA work stages
  • Strong technical knowledge, including UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction detailing
  • Confident working with Revit and familiar with BIM workflows and project coordination
  • Experience using NBS specification software would be an advantage
  • Strong architectural design, technical, and project management capabilities
  • Experience coordinating consultants and taking responsibility for project delivery
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients and project stakeholders
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working autonomously while contributing positively to a wider studio team
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial
