Senior Architect Opportunity

A Senior Architect is required for an established, award-winning AJ Top 100 architectural practice to join its growing Data Centre team in their office in the Jewellery Quarter area of central Birmingham. The practice is delivering a significant portfolio of major Data Centre developments across the UK and internationally, working on technically complex schemes that combine architecture, engineering, sustainability, and advanced digital design. Sustainability is a genuine part of our clients' design philosophy, with a focus on creating high-quality, future-proof buildings that minimize environmental impact while delivering long-term value for clients and communities.

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Architect with genuine Data Centre experience to join a busy and expanding specialist team with a strong existing workload and future project pipeline. The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical delivery of major schemes, particularly through RIBA Stage 4, detailed design, and tender/construction packages, working closely with multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the technical delivery of large-scale Data Centre projects.
  • Deliver projects through RIBA Stage 4 with a strong focus on detailed design and technical packages.
  • Produce and coordinate high-quality tender and construction information.
  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP, and specialist engineering consultants.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure designs meet technical, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.
  • Resolve complex technical and buildability issues throughout the design process.
  • Utilize BIM and digital technologies to improve coordination and project delivery.
  • Attend design team, client, and technical coordination meetings.
  • Support junior team members and contribute to maintaining high technical standards across projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
