KTA is a multi-award-winning architectural studio based in Exeter and Plymouth. Each studio delivers high-quality public and private buildings across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial, sports/stadia, hospitality, and leisure. KTA work collaboratively across both Studios and deliver exceptional projects from inception to completion.
Role Description
Qualified and experienced Project Architect is a full-time position based in Exeter, responsible for leading projects from concept through completion. Day-to-day work includes developing design solutions, producing and coordinating drawings and models, and ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.

The role involves collaborating closely with directors, internal teams, consultants, and clients to deliver functional, visually engaging, and budget-conscious architectural solutions. The Project Architect will oversee project documentation, manage submittals and approvals, support construction phases, and help integrate BIM and sustainable design principles into each project using Revit.

This position also requires active participation in design reviews, coordination meetings, and continuous improvement of studio processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Architecture and Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills to develop, coordinate, and manage high-quality designs using Revit.
- Project Management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, coordinating consultants, and overseeing project delivery from technical design through construction.
- Experience with Submittals, including preparation, review, and coordination of drawings, NBS specifications, and technical documents with contractors and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary studio environment and with clients.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience, ideally in one or more of KTA’s key sectors.
