The Project Assistant

The Project Assistant is a junior role for someone at the start of their career. The primary focus is to shadow and assist Etch's Project Managers across live retail design and build projects. Studio projects may also form part of the role, particularly at the outset, but they will be secondary to client project support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project support first. Studio support where it builds relevant experience.
  • Shadowing and training: Learn how Etch plans, costs, coordinates and delivers projects.
  • Planning and organisation: Maintain schedules, actions, files and project trackers.
  • Project coordination: Support live projects from brief to installation, working with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Actions and information: Arrange meetings, take clear notes, follow up actions and keep information up to date.
  • Financial administration: Gather quotes, raise purchase orders, place approved orders and support cost tracking.
  • Communication: Share updates clearly and flag risks, delays or missing information early.
  • Studio projects: Own selected internal projects, particularly during the initial training period.
  • Progression: Build towards managing workstreams and smaller projects with increasing independence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
