Job Description
Project Assistant – Norse Care
Location: Norwich
Salary: £30,765.87 – £35,314.02 (Depending on experience)
Hours: 37 Hours per week.
Come and work for Norse Care. Our team is based at our brand-new Head Office, located next to the airport. We have fantastic on-site facilities, featuring collaborative spaces, outside areas, and a café.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Assistant to join the team. You will be responsible for coordinating and planning various elements of transformation projects primarily relating to, but not solely exclusive to, refurbishment and development. This will include maintaining effective project cost control and reporting, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and health and safety compliance within all aspects of the role.
The Project Assistant will have experience in coordinating projects, and supporting successful delivery of project objectives, ensuring timescales, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
In line with Norse Care requirements, the Project Assistant will be required to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, building effective working relationships, and demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting in the development and delivery of the company’s transition programme in relation to new and increased private residential and enhanced care provision.
- Assisting the facilities manager in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of ongoing maintenance projects. Including the programming and management of on-site works.
- Liaising with contractors, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure all aspects of projects are appropriately coordinated, monitored, and delivered to required standards and timescales.
- Coordinating with internal company services such as Marketing and Interior Design to support the planning and delivery of projects.
- Identifying procurement gaps or shortfalls and initiating the necessary steps to ensure project requirements are met.
About You
- Full UK Driving Licence (travel within Norfolk is an essential requirement)
- Demonstrable project management skills and experience.
- Previous experience of procurement activities and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
- Working knowledge of building safety requirements, statutory compliance, and facilities management practices.
- Competent in using D365 and Access software would be desirable.
- Experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential.
