Role Overview:

Sitting at the intersection of project governance, financial management, and operations, you will ensure projects are consistently governed, accurately forecasted, and fully auditable. Responsibilities:
- Lead a consistent, portfolio-wide project assurance process, ensuring every project maintains complete, auditable documentation (RAID logs, status reports, governance records).
- Review and challenge project reporting and financials (forecasts, revenue recognition, margins), identifying gaps or discrepancies before leadership or client reviews.
- Track and escalate key risks, issues, and portfolio trends, giving partners and leadership timely visibility of items needing their attention.
- Maintain and improve the project assurance framework, including checklists, review cadence, and escalation routes, sharing best practice across delivery teams.
- Oversee core financial operations such as SoW creation, PO tracking, invoicing, and accounts receivable, and produce monthly leadership reports on financial performance and utilisation.
- Manage resource tracking and timesheet approvals, ensuring accurate allocation of effort against projects and future forecasts.
- Coordinate business operations including marketing materials, travel, room bookings, company assets, and team events/offsites.
- Support people operations by managing joiner/mover/leaver processes, monitoring holiday and sickness trends, and capturing and tracking actions from leadership meetings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
