About The Role
This role sits within the Financial Crime Operations Team and is responsible for leading a data and technology driven initiative to enhance and upgrade the firm’s financial crime control activity. The project change analyst plays a central role in ensuring Wealthtime’s compliance with regulatory requirements by managing the implementation of deliverables to a project plan, building and agreeing business requirements with accountable stakeholders and implementing technology configuration and adoption from a suppliers.
The role will work closely with colleagues across Operational Oversight, Compliance, Risk and Operations to deliver update an enhancement programmes, improve controls, and drive sustainable operational performance. The successful candidate will act as a central point of coordination for the delivery of operational improvements, technology adoption and data remediation, helping to strengthen Wealthtime's framework and supporting the business in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Crime Control Enhancement Programme Management
- Lead financial crime remediation initiatives across KYC and KYB activities.
- Work with SMEs to create detailed requirements for operational and technology enhancements.
- Develop and maintain remediation plans, ensuring milestones, dependencies and risks are clearly identified and managed.
- Prioritise activities based on regulatory risk, customer impact and operational exposure.
- Track progress against delivery plans and provide regular reporting to senior management and governance forums.
- Ensure remediation activities are completed within agreed timescales and meet required quality standards.

Regulatory Compliance, Investigations and Risk Reduction
- Conduct detailed reviews of financial crime processes to identify control weaknesses and enhancements.
- Support the implementation of enhanced controls to reduce regulatory and operational risk.
- Ensure enhancement outcomes align with FCA requirements, internal policies and financial crime standards.
- Complete initial KYC & KYB checks on clients and advisers.
- Verify the legitimacy of Business entities by researching ownership structures, beneficial owners, and associated individuals.
- Escalate significant risks, control failures and emerging issues appropriately.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with Operational, Compliance, Risk, Technology and Third-Party Supplier teams.
- Act as the main point of contact for AML enhancement project.
- Present progress updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
- Challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of agreed actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls and customer outcomes.
- Support the development and embedding of enhanced policies, procedures and operating models.
- Drive a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across Financial Crime Operations.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives designed to strengthen Wealthtime's financial crime framework.
About You
Specialist Skills, Qualifications And Experience
- Data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and insights from complex data sets.
- Project experience in business analysis or project management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Background in due diligence and/or data analysis, with involvement in oversight, onboarding or distributor-related activities.
