In April 2015, a huge blaze gutted the house at Clandon Park. Our project seeks to bring it back into use, creating a place to explore the history and making of a great house.
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join the Clandon Project team to deliver one of the biggest heritage projects the National Trust has ever tackled.
This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their experience on a major, highly complex project before moving into a Senior Project Coordinator or Project Officer role.
You’ll play an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of the project, working closely with our team and wider internal and external stakeholders.
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
Weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required, the expectation is 22.5 hours to be worked over 3 full days a week, discussed at interview.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide general flexible support across project, as well as a particular focus on our community engagement work, collections store and project archive.
- Support the organisation and delivery of public facing events.
- Champion open and productive communication, record-keeping and administration, while always being willing to get stuck in and help practically with the project when needed.
- Work alongside the senior leadership team and others to make sure the project runs smoothly, reporting regularly to your line manager.
- By building strong relationships, help all members of the team to work at their productive best towards achieving the ambitions of the project.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
