Project Construction Manager – Utility Scale Solar PV & BESS
Location: Multiple project sites across England
An international renewable energy EPC business is expanding its UK delivery team following continued growth across utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects. We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of live construction sites, acting as the senior operational lead and ensuring projects move efficiently from mobilisation through to handover. Working closely with engineering, project delivery and quality teams, you'll coordinate multiple contractors, resolve on-site challenges and maintain programme performance throughout construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Taking overall responsibility for day-to-day delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Leading site teams throughout the construction phase.
- Coordinating specialist contractors across multiple work packages.
- Working alongside engineering and project management teams to overcome technical and programme challenges.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and construction performance.
- Reviewing progress against programme and implementing solutions where required.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Supporting projects through commissioning and final handover.

Your Profile
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- Proven experience delivering utility-scale Solar PV projects.
- Battery Energy Storage (BESS) experience is highly desirable.
- Previous EPC construction management experience.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of UK construction regulations.
- SMSTS and CSCS Black Card (or eligibility).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and remain site-based throughout project delivery.
