Project Control Assistant

We are looking for a Project Control Assistant to help manage the administrative seams for a Manchester-based partner. Large projects often stall because the data becomes stale, status reports stop reflecting the actual code, and manual workarounds become permanent habits. This role exists to keep the project data clean and the timelines accurate. You will spend your day inside project management tools, tracking down missing updates and ensuring that the work happening in the technical logs matches what is reported to the client. This is a permanent, full-time position that is fully remote.

About Tech Pipeline

We identify the friction and operational drag that slows companies down.

  • We fix broken approval chains, manual reconciliations, and systems that do not talk to each other.
  • Our team concentrates on the gap between software tools and the work that actually needs to happen.
  • We prefer updating an SOP or a routing rule over building a slide deck.
  • We stay through the cutover and the first month of live operation to ensure the fix sticks.
  • We value clear documentation, named ownership, and plain English.
  • Every role at Tech Pipeline is fully remote.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor project logs to identify where tasks are stalling or missing documentation.
  • Audit internal project trackers against the work actually completed by the technical team.
  • Update routing rules and project workflows to reflect changes in the delivery plan.
  • Draft plain-English status reports that prioritize facts and clear progress updates.
  • Identify manual workarounds that have crept into the project and flag them for the technical team to review.
  • Verify that decision logs are kept current and all project changes are properly recorded.
  • Maintain the project runbook so the client can operate the new systems independently once we leave.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure all time entries and resource allocations are accurate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How We Work

Tech Pipeline operates on a culture of documentation and clear results. We avoid long, aimless meetings in favor of weekly written updates and precise decision logs. We do not stay with clients forever: we fix the operational drag, stabilize the new process, and move on once the team can run it without us. This means you will see a variety of projects and technical environments, always with the goal of leaving things better than we found them. We believe the tool you already own is usually the right place for the fix, and we apply that same practical logic to our own internal workflows. We focus on the work that matters and remove the daily drag that gets in the way.
