I'm currently working with a leading consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Project Controls Manager to support the delivery of major UK infrastructure and engineering programmes.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing reporting and controls, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the Project Controls function, work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in improving project performance and delivery.
You'll work across complex programmes, bringing together planning, cost, risk, change and performance reporting to provide clients and project teams with the insight they need to make informed decisions.
THE ROLE
As Project Controls Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading and managing Project Controls activities across major programmes
- Overseeing planning, cost, risk, change and performance reporting
- Providing accurate and meaningful project performance information to senior stakeholders
- Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and other project functions
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and providing recommendations
- Developing and maintaining effective Project Controls processes and reporting frameworks
- Supporting project governance, forecasting and performance reviews
- Managing and mentoring Project Controls professionals
- Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the consultancy's Project Controls offering

WE'D LIKE TO SPEAK WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE:
- Strong Project Controls / Programme Controls experience
- Experience managing Project Controls across major projects or programmes
- A background within infrastructure, engineering, construction or major capital programmes
- Strong understanding of planning, cost, risk and change management
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and clients
- Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills
- Experience managing or mentoring Project Controls teams
- Strong systems knowledge, ideally including Primavera P6, Power BI, Excel or similar
- Experience within transport, rail, defence, energy, utilities or other major infrastructure environments would be highly relevant.
