Prima Uno is recruiting experienced Senior Planners, Cost Engineers, and Project Controls Engineers to support major projects across the nuclear and infrastructure sectors. These roles offer a flexible remote-first model with occasional site attendance in Scotland (all travel and accommodation fully funded).

🔧 Role Overview

You will support high-complexity, highly regulated industrial/nuclear projects, contributing to planning, cost management, and integrated project controls. This includes baseline development, Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasting, reporting, and supporting project teams with performance insights.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Senior Planner

  • Develop and maintain logic-driven baseline schedules.
  • Apply EVM for schedule performance and variance analysis.
  • Produce and update detailed working-level programmes.
  • Review contractor schedules and integrate multi-discipline inputs.
  • Identify risks, quantify impacts, and support schedule mitigation.

Cost Engineer

  • Produce baseline cost estimates and monthly cost forecasts.
  • Apply EVM for cost performance tracking and variance reporting.
  • Review compensation events, contractor cost submissions, and invoices.
  • Support change control and cost impact assessments.
  • Maintain cost breakdown structures and financial controls.

Project Controls Engineer

  • Integrate cost, schedule, and risk data for full project controls reporting.
  • Produce dashboards, performance reports, and variance analysis.
  • Advise project teams on cost/schedule issues and propose solutions.
  • Support baseline management and change control processes.
  • Maintain accurate project data using project controls systems.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years’ experience in highly regulated, high-complexity industrial or nuclear projects.
  • Demonstrable experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong background in planning, cost engineering, or project controls.
  • Experience producing baseline schedules, cost estimates, or integrated reports.
  • Ability to advise project teams and provide solution-focused recommendations.
  • Proficiency with project systems (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, U4BW, CEMAR).
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related field (preferred).
