PROJECT COORDINATOR - SMART BUILDINGS / PROPTECH
£30,000–£40,000
Hybrid: Farringdon, London (minimum one day per week)
German language skills required

This is an opportunity to join a growing smart-building technology company helping commercial property owners understand their energy use and reduce the environmental impact of their buildings.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a fast-growing PropTech business specialising in energy data collection and smart-building technology.
Its technology helps commercial property owners and operators access accurate energy data, improve building performance and support the transition towards lower-carbon real estate.
With a growing portfolio of projects across the UK and Europe, the business is expanding its project delivery team and bringing a key coordination function in-house.
THE ROLE
This is a high-volume planning and coordination role rather than a traditional construction project management position.
You will coordinate multiple installations across the UK and Europe, ensuring that equipment, installers, site access and customers are all aligned before work begins.
Projects range from straightforward one-day installations to larger programmes covering multiple sites. At busy periods, the team may be coordinating between one and three installations each day across approximately 60 active UK and European sites.

- Planning and scheduling installations across the UK and Europe
- Coordinating customers, site teams, installers and equipment suppliers
- Arranging site access and ensuring the necessary documentation is in place
- Procuring equipment and external installation services
- Ensuring materials arrive at the correct location and on time
- Maintaining accurate project, customer and inventory trackers
- Anticipating potential problems before they affect delivery
- Helping to define quality standards and improve operational processes
- Identifying more effective and efficient ways of working
THE PERSON
We are looking for someone dependable, proactive and highly organised who can manage a significant volume of activity without losing sight of the detail.
You may currently work in project coordination, service delivery, operations, facilities management, engineering services, building maintenance, electrical contracting, BMS or another environment involving engineers, contractors and customer sites.
Experience within property, engineering or technology would be useful, but it is not essential. Your ability to organise, communicate and follow through is more important than specialist technical knowledge.
You are likely to have:
- Previous experience coordinating projects, services, installations or operational activity
- The ability to manage several priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Confidence dealing directly with customers, contractors and suppliers
- A reliable, methodical approach and strong attention to detail
- The composure to deal with changing plans and unexpected problems
- The initiative to question existing processes and suggest improvements
- Good general systems and technology skills
- Fluent English and conversational German, ideally around B2 level

Experience of commercial property, site access procedures, RAMS, procurement, logistics or technical services would be particularly useful.
Additional European language skills, including French, Italian, Dutch or Spanish, would also be welcomed.

THE REWARD
- Salary of £30,000–£40,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working, with at least one day each week in the Farringdon office
