This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that will require little to no travel into our Coventry head office. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department
The Academic Office at Arden University supports academic governance, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and student success. It oversees programme approval, policy development, assessment management, and academic standards, working with faculties, professional services, and regulators to ensure compliance and enhance the student experience.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the Head of Strategic Projects and the Academic Affairs Project Team to coordinate, oversee and deliver the University’s project and change portfolio.
The role combines project coordination, analysis and portfolio reporting, providing practical support to Project Managers, Business Analysts, Project Sponsors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The postholder will help ensure projects are well organised, appropriately governed and delivered in line with agreed processes and priorities.
Key responsibilities will include collecting, analysing and presenting project and portfolio information; coordinating meetings, governance activities and reporting cycles; maintaining project documentation; and tracking actions, risks, issues, dependencies and milestones. The role will also support the preparation of reports and information for project and portfolio oversight.
Working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and departmental stakeholders, the Project Coordinator will maintain an accurate and up-to-date view of the University’s project landscape. They will support effective communication, governance and coordination across projects, helping to identify key issues and provide timely information to support prioritisation and decision-making.

The role will provide the Project Team with the coordination, reporting, analytical and administrative capability required to support the successful delivery of high-quality, strategically aligned projects and change initiatives across Academic Affairs and the wider University.
About You
You will be a highly organised, detail-focused project professional with experience supporting projects, change initiatives or portfolios. You will be confident managing competing priorities, working with stakeholders and providing accurate information to support effective delivery and decision-making.
Essential requirements
- Degree-level education or significant relevant experience in progressively more complex roles.
- Experience in project coordination, analysis, administration, portfolio support or a related field.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong project administration and coordination skills, including managing deadlines, actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Effective communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior colleagues.
- Experience maintaining accurate project records, reporting information and ensuring actions are followed up.
- Experience in a relevant role such as Project Coordinator, Project Officer, Project Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar.
Desirable requirements
- Business Analysis qualification, such as Agile BA or BCS, or equivalent experience.
- Experience within Higher Education.
- Experience working in a formal Project, Programme or Portfolio Management environment
