Project Coordinator

Derby - Hybrid Tuesdays & Thursdays in office

Today Tracsis is a leading provider of software, hardware, data analytics/GIS and services for the rail, traffic data and wider transport industries. The Group has c.550 permanent employees serving its growing customer base from offices in the UK, Ireland and the US.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of projects from initiation through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers and under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager, you will help coordinate fieldworkers and surveyors, manage project activities, and ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality standards and timelines.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Support the planning, mobilisation and delivery of projects involving fieldworkers and surveyors.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules and logistics to ensure project activities run efficiently.
  • Help resolve operational issues arising during fieldwork to keep projects on track.
  • Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and coordination of surveyors and fieldworkers to ensure projects are appropriately resourced.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, fieldworkers, surveyors and internal teams, providing excellent service throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain project trackers, schedules and coordination tools, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support project administration, documentation and system updates.
  • Assist Project Managers in ensuring projects are delivered to agreed quality, programme and budget requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage professionally with clients, suppliers, fieldworkers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Confidence using digital systems, technology and reporting tools.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider team to achieve project goals

You don't need to have worked as a Project Coordinator before. We welcome applications from individuals with experience in administration, operations, customer service, scheduling, logistics, project support, or other roles where you've demonstrated strong organisation, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
