Project Coordinator – Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)

📍 Location: Hybrid – average of 2 days in our Cardiff office, plus ad hoc site visits as required

💰 Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

📄 Contract: Permanent. Full-time and flexible hours/patterns available – We understand that life is more than just work, so we’re happy to discuss flexible working arrangements around childcare and other life-balance commitments.

About Sero:

Sero was founded to make a connection between homes and energy, and to use technology to make both of these easier and smarter together. We do this to save our customers money and time, but we also do it to save our planet.

To tackle the Climate Emergency, we deliver innovative energy and retrofit solutions that reduce the carbon footprint of homes at scale. We work closely with social housing providers, local authorities, and delivery partners to help them understand what their buildings need to achieve net zero.

Your contribution will be key to the team’s success as we continue to scale our impact. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for sustainability and wants to play a hands-on role in delivering meaningful change.

How you will help:

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator (DEA) to play a crucial role in delivering Medium Term Improvement Plans (MTIPs) for our clients and partners. You’ll be at the heart of our mission to support zero carbon retrofit projects, making sure the PAS 2035 process is both technically compliant and smoothly integrated into our wider approach.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in driving sustainable energy solutions. You’ll work closely with the Retrofit Coordinator and other technical colleagues to produce high-quality documentation, coordinate key activities, and support delivery across multiple retrofit projects. Your meticulous attention to detail, combined with technical understanding, will help make sure everything runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What we’ll be asking you to do:

  • Support the delivery of compliant PAS 2035 projects by following established processes and maintaining consistent standards
  • Work with Team Leaders to identify priorities for MTIPs, and provide support across the Retrofit Coordinator process
  • Conduct technical reviews of surveys and Retrofit Assessments to identify and correct errors
  • Address data gaps in survey information by sourcing from online platforms or applying SAP-compliant assumptions
  • Produce detailed, structured technical write-ups using in-house systems, including measure order, sequencing rationale, assumptions, caveats, and any required preparatory or remedial works
  • Collaborate with internal technical experts to devise bespoke solutions for buildings with complex retrofit needs
  • Generate MTIPs using internal tools and software, and revise plans in response to feedback
  • Review post-installation handover and commissioning documentation for technical accuracy
  • Upload project information to the TrustMark Data Warehouse
  • Track KPIs to support team resourcing and monitor delivery performance
  • Keep up to date with developments in retrofit regulations and standards, including PAS 2035 and SAP methodology
  • Share suggestions for process improvements to enhance MTIP efficiency
  • Balance your independent workload with wider team collaboration, to meet weekly and team delivery targets
  • Support the on-site inspection team when needed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
